Privacy Policy — Personal Assist

1. OVERVIEW
Personal Assist ("the App") is a Google Workspace Web App
that acts as a personal assistant by connecting to your
Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive.
2. DATA WE ACCESS
The App accesses the following data from your Google account:
- Gmail: read emails, create draft replies, send replies
- Google Calendar: read events, create reminders
- Google Drive: list folders, save attachments
- Google Contacts: read contact list to identify important senders
- Profile: your email address and first name
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
Your data is used solely to:
- Display your emails and calendar events on your dashboard
- Draft email replies on your behalf using AI
- Save email attachments to your Google Drive
- Identify important senders from your contacts
4. DATA STORAGE
- All your data is stored in a private Google Sheet
created in YOUR own Google Drive
- No data is stored on external servers owned by us
- Chat history is stored in your private Google Sheet only
- We do not collect, store or transmit your personal
data to any third party except OpenAI (see below)
5. OPENAI / AI FEATURES
- The App uses OpenAI's GPT-4 API to draft email replies
and power the chat assistant
- Email content and chat messages are sent to OpenAI
for processing
- OpenAI's privacy policy applies: openai.com/privacy
- The App uses the developer's OpenAI API key —
your email content is not stored by OpenAI beyond
the duration of the API call
6. DATA SHARING
We do not sell, share or transfer your data to any
third parties except as described in Section 5 above.
7. DATA RETENTION
- Your data remains in your own Google Drive
- You can delete your "Personal Assist - My Data"
spreadsheet at any time to remove all stored data
- Revoking app access at myaccount.google.com/permissions
immediately stops all data access
8. SECURITY
- The App runs entirely within Google's infrastructure
- Authentication is handled by Google OAuth 2.0
- We do not store your Google credentials
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
This App is not intended for use by children under 13.
10. CHANGES
We may update this policy occasionally.
Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance
of the updated policy.
